Had my mishaps as well but quickly wiped it off with clean skin.

Super glue, CA, cyanoacrylate. Same thing.

Try applying with a toothpick,pin, tack, anything not attached to the bottle.

The needle caps, and whisp caps can help get it into tight spots ...

bummer dude. we have all been there at one point or another with glue on the finger and then somewhere it should not be!

could still be a shipping issue from the printer to kato or to distributors with excessive moisture in some storage or transport place. we have had cases of books come through from the printer with some warpage due to some boxes probably getting soaked...

ive actually found that good old craft store acrylic paint in my really cheapo siphon air brush (the kind that just pushes the air past a nipple going into the paint reservoir) actually gives a decent...

I certainly remember cleaning the commutator from my motor & generator training days but not the brushes, we always just wiped them with a paper towel (ok they were a bit bigger than N scale  ) certainly were always warned about keeping the brushe...

When I work with CA glues (super glue) I always wear latex gloves. You won't get any on you and the glove protects your fingers.
As for the model itself....you're right you have to act quickly.

I wasn't happy with the first version of the rear wall, so I made another, better one, using the method I described above. Happy with that, I've made the other three walls the same way -

It only took a week!  Especially in several areas where I had the track covered, either deliberately or accidentally.  Eg: the track under a piece of discarded shrink wrap went very green whilst nearby track that was uncovered went mission browni...

wow brownish green would be the color for the nickel silver patina that would form. still amazed to hear track getting corrosion like that from humidity, but thats what sounds like it was happening. how long did it take to form? i guess its just ...
